Identifying Sunbeam Snakes in Thailand

Sunbeam Snakes are medium-sized iridescent snakes most closely related to pythons. There is one species of Sunbeam Snake in Thailand.

Sunbeam Snakes might be mistaken for pipe snakes or some species of Asian Water Snakes.

A dark iridescent snake with a white belly. Head is long and somewhat flattened. Juveniles sometimes have a white collar.
